This beech tree was infected with BRACKET FUNGUS and had to be felled. I inspected the infected tree first and put a rope up in the canopy. Tree was infected due to WOODPECKERS holes. Bracket Fungus (Cerioporus squamosus) had gained access through woodpecker holes in the tree.

Her fælder vi en bøg der er blevet angrebet af skællet stilkpore svamp, som sandsynligvis har gået indgang til træet gennem nogle spættehuller øverst i træet.
Jeg klatrede op for at undersøge toppen, samt sætte et reb op så vi kunne trække træet ned i den rigtige retning.
